Important Announcement

attention

Per Pasco County Administrator Dan Biles’ executive order signed into effect April. 5, 2021, “face coverings are no longer required in Pasco County due to lower COVID-19 hospital rates and climbing vaccine rates.” As a result of this, TCO will follow suit and no longer require the use of masks while on our campus or participating in any church-sponsored activities effective April 18, 2021.

We will continue to require that all teachers of classes with children between birth and 5th grade wear masks for the immediate future. This will take into consideration any lag time between vaccine doses as people continue to receive any desired vaccination, and depending upon which vaccine they receive. This will also allow us to evaluate any ramifications of masks no longer being required while protecting our children.

For the foreseeable future we also will continue to require that all children checked in on Sundays and Wednesdays (Birth thru 5th grade) have their temperature checked strictly as a precautionary measure. If your child is running a fever or has signs or symptoms of sickness of any kind, please do not bring them to church to help prevent the spread of any illness.

Your TCO Elders would like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during the last year as we worked to navigate COVID-19 and its effects. We realize that all of us have had to make hard decisions with far-reaching ramifications. Thank you for the sacrificial spirit that has pervaded our church body, allowing us to continue to meet together as a body in one room and at one time.

Moving forward we ask that the same sacrificial and patient spirit persist in all areas, but especially as we all adjust to these new guidelines. For some, this is long overdue and they will without hesitation remove their mask. For others, feelings of apprehension may still persist and they will continue to wear their mask. In either case we ask that both parties continue to be patient and gracious with one another as we walk forward from this decision and work this out in our daily lives.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding and love for one another during this past year and moving forward. We love you and are grateful to serve as your Elders.
